Trainee Electronics Engineer
SEPT - NOV 2023 (12 Weeks)
Engaged in the Department of Automotive Electronics under the supervision of Eng. Nisal Bulathsinghala (Head of the Department, Automotive Electronics). During the internship I was involved in a solo project instructored by the senior engineers to design and develop a prototype for a power distribution module that could be used when controlling various subsystems in an Electric Vehical. The specific module I was assigned with had to be powered by MOSFETs for switching mechanism and should accomodate 8 channels of power distribution summing upto a total of 100 A of current flow through the circuit at maximum capacity.
Trainee Associate Electronics Engineer
AUG - OCT 2022 (11 Weeks)
Worked with the Electronics and Embedded systems team as an intern under the supervision of Eng. Niroshan Karunaratne (Senior Tech Lead) and Dr. Gerrard Fernando (Chief Scientific Officer). I was engaged in a solo project named NQoSM, to develop a python library for building tools to monitor system resource usage in remote Linux servers. It involved Linux kernel tracing, resource monitoring and remote operation.
This article which I wrote about eBPF, a linux kernal tracing framework; which was used in the project highlights some aspects of the work carries out.
